So you went with an Alfine IGH hub. Which one did you decide on, and how do you like it?
The guys at Colonels and Trinity Bicycles helped on this commuter, which I finished a couple of weeks ago. Finally put the decals on, and it is now complete. I do love the Robins Egg Blue though.

Hey crdean1
I've seen them on the internet but thats it. I had read good things about Dyad's and Bernie suggested them so that was good enough for me.
I have used shimano's 3spd version in the past and thought it was enough but as we all know bigger is better right? so i went with the alfine 8 and its awesome, more then enough for the streets of fort worth. I've found that with IGH they seem to shift smoother when youre not pedaling
You have an awesome bike and have followed your re-build. The work that jeremy did on it is pretty sweet. We're lucky to have guys like Bernie, Rick, and Jeremy to help us with our bicycles

You ever ride with the Night Riders?
Hey Doohickie, I Actually meet you at Trinity a couple week's ago and talked to you about your blog. I've done one group ride with Trinity to burgers lake last summer. I'm going to start doing critical mass for sure every month, and maybe start going to some night rider rides

Yes the tires havee a reflective strip. These are the silver dyad rims not the black reflective ones.
