All - I am extremely rude... I apologize. I signed up for this forum...asked my questions and just kept on with everything else that was going on!

I did end up purchasing a bike just before Christmas. I found a almost brand new 1986 Schwinn Prelude! It is purty! The only major changes I had/wanted to make on it were obviously, put my pedals on and get some more stout wheels to roll on. My good friend and riding buddy told me about this bike shop in Madison, WI that built his Custom Waterford called Yellow Jersey. The wheels they built him were pretty much bombproof. I ended up having them make me wheels as well...I got Velocity Chukker rims with Phil Wood 48H hubs. I rode for the second time today and absolutely love this bike.

Thank you for suggestions. After buying my Kona brand new, I couldn't afford another brand new bike. I did look into purchasing a new bike, but scoured Craigslist and found what I was looking for! I did meet a guy selling his Paramount, great shape, impeccable really. But the frame was way too small for me.

So here's what I've got now. My (awesome) girlfriend bought me a Brooks B17 for my birthday and I absolutely love it!
