I have s8 which is same basic design as S3 but with stainless bearings. I suppose that makes it less prone to rust than S3, but if you are not riding in wet condtions a regular basis, S3 seems like a great choice. Only reason I wound up with S8 is because I got one at same cost as S3 so I figured what the hell, I'd get the stainless bearings.
