I just ordered the Chrome Kursk. I will let you know how I like them. NOT fugly at all In my opinion. They look like chucks. I currently have the Bontrager Street. Great shoes for cycling and walking a bit, kinda obvious cycling shoes.... I also have a Pair of Answers that look like skate shoes. Those are great looking off the bike too, but I can't find a link for you. They are an older model. Perhaps that is why. Sixsixone makes a pair that look like skate shoes as well. I would say the Chrome Kursk is gonna be my main cycling shoe ( if they work out) when I want to go in town and not be a geek wearing fugly cycling shoes. I have noticed a lot of companies are finally making cycling clothes that are stylish on and off the bike but the shoes... eh... Chrome seems to be getting it.
