I've been wearing the same shades, and the same frame in eyeglasses for about 40 years. Ray Ban aviators, but the Caravan shape. More square-ish. Prescription lenses. I sometimes wear those but two years ago bought a set of Maui Jim's for fly fishing because the old Ray Bans didn't give enough protection at the bottom of the frame from glare off the water. The Maui Jims look more modern, but I don't care. Best pair of lenses I've ever looked through. From the neck up, I'm looking for utility and protection, not looks.

Also use them for flyfishing, kayaking, sailing, and riding. I also stash extra pairs of
el cheapo Target "Wayfarer" rip offs around (saddle bags, fly kits, and sailing duffles) in case I forget the good stuff.
We just watched a Cary Grant movie the other day, and he was wearing these.
I'd try those as well, as I like the tortoise shell quite a bit.
