...until you did anything at all that would compress the band, at which point all of the stored sweat would pour down the inside of the lenses, leaving a salty residue that was impossible to remove without using water and a clean cloth (trying to use a jersey would just make it worse).
Still, they were the epitome of mid 80's cycling eyewear. These are best worn with a Giro "neckripper" helmet - the one with they lycra cover.
