I was wondering about the disc brakes... then i realized that if they are indeed solid hard wood frames then the bikes need the disc brakes to stop the heavy weight.
I've never seen one in person, but their website says their bikes come in around 17-18lbs. Yes, they are solid wood (meaning no particle board or filler)...but they aren't solid. They are actually hollow. Check out the Renovo site. They explain the process. Most of their bikes have caliper brakes. Don't know why Audi went with disc brakes. Maybe they think it looks more "technological" or something.
