Chicago Century

The intention of this post is to get a read on the enthusiasm for an idea I have been thinking about for awhile. Is anyone interested in doing a Chicago Century? The idea is to have an organized ride that covers the city of Chicago; from the North to the South, from the Lake to the West. We’d do it on a Sunday morning late summer, have breaks for beer, sausage, whatever, make it as fun as possible. Plot out a course, pass out maps, distances. Make a flier promoting the ride. Ride at a pace that would keep the group together.

I don’t think I can do it alone. I’d need help with fliers, maps, routes, other things. I’d like to see a turnout of, what, say 20 riders?

Let me know what you think. Please post ideas and willingness to help and/or ride.
