After visiting my LBS today and seeing the Trek District on prominent display, I searched these forums and found this thread. Sooo, sorry to bring up a fairly old conversation, but figured it was better than starting up a new thread that has already been covered. I am seriously considering purchasing a District as my commuter. I am currently riding a Motobecane Record road bike that I picked up used on craigslist last year. It's a fine bike, but not the road bike riding position and thin tires are just not conducive for the commute. Anyone else riding the District? If so, what are your thoughts? I am not a hipster, just find the simplicity of single speed appealing, and I love the look of this bike! Thanks all.
