There's a pretty good dumpster near my house. Three dumpsters, actually. Not bike stuff; general purpose stuff being thrown away. The list of stuff I've taken from there goes beyond my memory, but includes working electronics, good cameras, valuable antiques, books, board games, clothes, building materials, whole bicycles, bicycle parts, and so on.
Yesterday I took a peek. Women's shoes. Not my thing. But I noticed an SPD cleat on the bottom of one. So in I went. Rummaged around down in the bottom of the dumpster until I had a pair of Diadora cycling shoes, apparently never worn. In my wife's size, of course (I would have taken them in any size).
That's what I'm talking about!
