Oddly enough... my favourite and most used brand of chain is KMC as there is no reason to pay more for chain that does not work any better.

I have not used Shimano chain on my own bikes in a decade and the only time I fit it to a bike is if a customer brings it in with them.

The KMC chain shifts as well as anything but that might have something to do with the person who dials in the drive train.
