I don't get why people buy front "bike" lights. They are expensive, don't light very well, and only aim at one place.
I've been using a $15 walmart headlamp for the last year and it worked 2x as well as my buddies $40 bike light. I'm ready to upgrade now though to something that will give me even better visibility to make riding at night more enjoyable.
I'll either get the
Princeton Tec Remix which has a 170ft range at 70 lumens for $35ish or the
Petzl Tikka XP2which has a 195ft range at 60 lumens for $40ish. I think a big difference is the Princeton is completely water proof but the Petzl is only water resistant. But the Petzl can be upgraded with a rechargeable battery pack for $40 more depending on how much i end up using it for other things too.
