I was worried about that too when they moved it last year. But the organizers want the sponsors, and the sponsors want the fans and the fans want the big names and a LOT of big names are in California instead of Italy. We've got the World Champion, the Australian Champion, the US Road and TT champions, we've got this year's winners of Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, and Paris Roubaix, plus fan favorites Jens, Andy, Lars, and Oscar.
