Thanks for the replies so far! A kickstand is not an option because for one, I need to use this for 2-3 (currently 2) different bikes and one of them has a carbon frame. The latter bit (carbon) makes me lean toward the solutions that touch only the wheel/tire. Ideally, the widget would work with tires sized from 23mm up to 32+mm to fit the variety of bikes and tires I might ride to work.
