In my experience, the difference between riding fixed vs geared is less than imagined. I had your mindset when I first took it up a few years back and last year completed RAMROD and STP on a fixed gear at 53 years old.
That's good to hear. I pushed it up to almost 60 today but still <3k' of climbing and July's ride claims to have 7700' of climbing. Yikes. Are you going to do STP this year? While I was out today I saw a few people wearing their STP jackets.
