Warming up for 2nd race of the day
I'm guessing there is a thread around here talking about this, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, we all have our own ways of warming up for our races, but my question is, what do you do when you have 2 races in one day. Yesterday I raced my first race at noon (35 min), did a spin around the area to get the legs warm and the HR up. My second race was at 3:30 (40 min), so about 3 hours in between. For my second race, I did a quick spin around the area, about 15 minutes because although I had cooled down, I put in a lot in the earlier race to win a prime. I was really feeling my legs at the beginning of the race, but towards the end, I felt strong, but I attribute much of that to riding smarter out of the wind and staying on wheels out of the corners. In any case, I want to know what do you typically do for your second race of the day?
