Your commute doesn't look that bad. It is silly that people don't pay attention to bikes, especially when they can see a dedicated bike lane next to them.
That said I have had WAY more close calls so far on my suburban commute to my summer job than I did all last year riding in an urban area. I've had 10-12 close calls in suburbia in eight rides thus far. In twenty weeks of urban riding, riding 3-6 times per week I had three close calls. Neither area has bike lanes, and the urban situation didn't have any sort of shoulder, whereas the suburban shoulders are four to six feet wide in places.
