Imagine the look on my face when I took my race bike to a local shop and lady was admiring it and asking questions:
Lady: "Nice bike! Where are the brakes?"
Me: "It's a track bike."
Lady: [confused look]
Me: "It's for riding on a velodrome...an oval track. There are no brakes. The gear is fixed so there is no freewheel action..."
Lady: "OH! It's a fixie?! Nice!"
