About a year and a half ago at the Ohio Thrift Store (Kidney Foundation) I grabbed a Raleigh M40 for $40. It was just my size, and I ended up putting about $100 more into it. But I like it and it makes a great commuter. At the same time they had a Sun step thru 3 speed for $60. I wish I'd have got that for my wife, but the $40 I spent for for the M40 was my lunch money.

About a week later (still not payday yet) I saw there a very nice Raleigh Technium, my size too. Damn. It was $75. I knew some guy who wanted one and he got all excited when I told him about it, but the dork waited a week expecting it to still be there.

Since then all I've come across there, was childrens bike, BMX wannabikes, and cheapest kind of mountain bikes.
