Yes, on the high end stuff, there is plenty of demand on ebay. Here locally in Hooterville, any racing/road bike without STI over about $250 hits a brick wall. STI over about $400 hits that same wall (or maybe thats a different wall).

High end bike local prices tend to be 50% of ebay, OR LOWER. As a buyer, thats pretty nice, you can pick up some good to great stuff. As a seller, it sucks. When I picked up my Colnago Master Lite, it was about half of ebay, and it sat on our C/L for over two weeks. Guy admitted later that I was the only one that even replied to his ad.


The low end stuff is pretty close (local sale vs ebay). In fact, I have bought several bikes off the bay and resold them locally for a nice profit.
