The paved section of the Canalway from Long Pond Road in Greece to Schoen Place in Pittsford is the longest paved section in its entire length. In fact, except for a couple of hundred-foot sections under bridges, it's the westernmost paved section.

Cycling the Erie Canal Tour comes through town. Hundreds of riders pass through on their way to the overnight at Nazareth College. Tuesday and Wednesday are the two days in summer when I avoid the Canalway on my commute. Too much traffic!
