People spend thousands of dollars on artwork. I am a map freak and there are reproductions of old maps that cost hundreds or even thousands.....and those are repros. I was able to get this bike for $300. The way I see it, I have a $300 sculpture to hang on the wall now.
You're right, JP. My wife and I have purchased art as part of foreign travels, or where something had been meaningful to us. Maybe it's a stage of life that I'm lamenting. I'm sure that the bike is beautiful on your wall. I'd probably still be tempted to ride it, though.
