Touring bike , went thru elaborate reshaping ,'Off the front' grip shapes ,
neoprene wet suit stuff and cotton tape, made a nice smooth flat-ish platform
on my Randonneur bend handlebars, for a comfortable hand surface.
added a second layer when the first got frayed.
