The comment about the handling was based on my experience with Continental Gatorskins and GP4000S. This is my first bike of this type and I'm running 700x35c and have no complaints with them. Bigger tires just don't handle quite as nicely as the 700x25c I run on my road bike. But they are WAY more comfortable and I like the Pasela TGs for other reasons (shock absorbsion, tread, gumwalls).
