Frankly, this thing with the GPS drives me crazy. I've got a friend who occasionally takes me to the airport - it's 10 minutes away and he's been there probably 50 times. Still, every time I get in the damn car he's got the GPS destination set to the airport. Like you suddenly forgot how to pay attention to where you were going and wouldn't know to turn until the robot lady tells you too?

Any second you are even looking at the phone means you do not have your eye on the road, the car in front of your, your rearview mirrors, or anywhere else your paranoid head on a swivel is supposed to be pointed. In 4 wheel vehicles this is dangerous. On 2 wheels, it's careless.
I say get off your high horse. Texting and driving, or doing anything on a phone that requires more than a quick glance is totally different than having your gps on in the car. Should we put black electrical tape over our speedometers and engine diagnostic lights as well? How about those distracting low tire pressure warning lights?
