Phone mount?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

While you're at it, let me know if you find one for a fax machine.

Such a simple question with so many unhelpful replies. Good stuff.

This mount will wear out and fall apart at some point, dropping your phone on the road. It's nearly 100% plastic, and after some amount of miles it simply fatigues and breaks. I've had 2 of them (ps to the idiots, I was not mounting it to my bike to make phone calls or text)

For a motorcycle, it may be fine since it has a suspension.

I've been using this RAM Mount holder for both my Samsung Captivate and Garmin 76CSX:. Also need this mount for the handlebar:. Solid and works well. I highly recommend.

I just bought a binto box for my phone. It has two pockets. I keep the phone in one, the earphones in the other. If I get a call I pull out the earphones and click the switch on the cord, never touch the phone. Straps to the top tube and head tube. There is room for a energy bar or too but I keep those in my seat bag.

Something like this

Frankly, this thing with the GPS drives me crazy. I've got a friend who occasionally takes me to the airport - it's 10 minutes away and he's been there probably 50 times. Still, every time I get in the damn car he's got the GPS destination set to the airport. Like you suddenly forgot how to pay attention to where you were going and wouldn't know to turn until the robot lady tells you too?

Any second you are even looking at the phone means you do not have your eye on the road, the car in front of your, your rearview mirrors, or anywhere else your paranoid head on a swivel is supposed to be pointed. In 4 wheel vehicles this is dangerous. On 2 wheels, it's careless.
I say get off your high horse. Texting and driving, or doing anything on a phone that requires more than a quick glance is totally different than having your gps on in the car. Should we put black electrical tape over our speedometers and engine diagnostic lights as well? How about those distracting low tire pressure warning lights?
