Has since evolved into this:


Pulled a spoke through the stock rims so I replaced them with a set of Vuelta ZeroLite on sale on Nashbar.
Had a Cane Creek Thudbuster for less than a year. Comfy, but bouncy. Swapped it out for a cheap carbon seat post.
Replaced the rack with a Topeak SuperTourist and a Timbuk2 Bullit pannier/messenger bag.
Swapped the front suspension fork with a Nashbar carbon MTB fork.
Ditched the Topeak handlebar bag.
Cut down the handlebar.
Swapped XT rear derailleur and shifters with SRAM X9 group.
