This is funny. His "solution" is only going to cause more pedestrians to get smashed by cyclists on the sidewalks. Then the pedestrians will be complaining about us too. As someone who's been hit several times by cyclists while walking on my old college campus, I know this wouldn't work. Besides, those of us who ride for every reason other than commuting wouldn't be satisfied at anything less than 20 mph.
I like sharing the road with cars, thank you very much. The stares I get while keeping up with traffic at 30 mph are priceless. On a serious note, what can we really do? Riding on a MUP sucks. I'd rather ride on the roads and take my chances.
Come on now, let's be honest. You can't keep up with traffic at 30 mph.
