Kurt--The bike came with NR and I upgraded thru the years. For example, the hubs to Phil Wood, the saddle from Unicanitor (ugh!) to CoolGear generation 1 gel (remember CoolGear), to Ideale until the leather rotted; the pedals to Look. Stem is TTT; bar is Cinelli; rear shifter is Modolo (after I smashed the original campy in a crash). I went through three NR rear derailleurs and since about 1980 have been very happy with a Suntour Superbe Pro (try getting one of those for under $100!) and Diacompe front. Original Campy bakes with Kool Stop pads. The Regina Oro cluster was replaced with an Ultra Six about 1985. I love the bike, but it's getting to be a pain to service. It's the only bike I've ever ridden where I feel like I'm riding IN the bike, not ON the bike. Know what I mean?
