i suggest you stop worrying about if wheels have DT spokes or are bombproof. a well built/trued 32h rim laced 2x/3x should be fine, and the r450's should be the least of your troubles.

a fixed/fixed wheel can have a place to mount freewheels. weinnman dp18's are 110/set with sealed formula hubs, and can be ordered with machined sidewalls @ velomine.com.
