If I eat enough/properly (for me it's pasta and meat sauce, carbs and protein, and drink lots of water/juice/soda/whatever) and recover (i.e. don't do tons of chores or spend all night walking around or whatever) then I can do such things. In the first few miles in the morning your legs will feel a bit stiff but you'll come around quickly.
