Long morning ride after a shorter evening ride
I plan on doing a 50-60 mile ride in morning bright and early. But I've been way busy this week and haven't got to ride but one day. I was thinking about riding a 20-30 mile course tonight. I've never did this night before morning ride before. Should I have any concerns? Do you guys ever do this? Thanks!

Yes...
Depends on the person...
For me it's never really an issue....Last year raced a TT in the am, a crit in the pm and then a 60mile RR the next morning...
Think of it like 2 a days

It shouldn't be a problem but there is a higher potential for not having your glycogen stores topped up in the morning depending on how hard you ride at night. Either take some extra calories on your morning ride or eat something after your evening ride.

I'll do the exact same thing only the ride tonight will be somewhat relaxed since I'll be riding with the wife and tomorrow morning will be somewhat aggressive.

The day before a big ride/race, I like to do an out-and-back route that is about 12 miles with two hills at the end (route ends at top of second hill). I pound it hard on the flats to the hills, hit the hills hard (3 climbs), and then take it easy the last 4 miles home.
I have found this works best for my legs to feel great the next morning, but everyone is different.

If I eat enough/properly (for me it's pasta and meat sauce, carbs and protein, and drink lots of water/juice/soda/whatever) and recover (i.e. don't do tons of chores or spend all night walking around or whatever) then I can do such things. In the first few miles in the morning your legs will feel a bit stiff but you'll come around quickly.
