When I did my one and only century the wind shifted and the last 30 miles were into about a 15mph breeze. I would have much rather finished with a 15 mph tailwind, thank you very much.

A modest dose of masochism is the road to improvement.
But yeah, last year I completed (an unsupported) century into a pretty serious headwind and yeah, I would have been much happier without it.
