Hi Tom. I have been using the eternaLight ergo marine on my helmet for the past two years. I mounted it on my helmet with velcro and use a velcro wire wrap as a safety strap. I think this light provides the best forward finger print of any light I have used. Unlike other lights, however, it will not illiminate the road very in front of you. For this, I have mounted Cateye EL-300s on each side of my Burley trailer. My co-workers say I look like a UFO when I arrive at work during the dark time of year.

Good luck with your x_ray. I have one I use as a normal flash light. They are quite the nice flash light.
