I didn't realize that I could get a complete bike for $350, the 2011 model showed retailing at $725. The main reason I was wanting just a frame (as you notice) is that I already have a complete Shimano Alivio drivetrain, and a SunRingle Wheelset on my mongoose, and those upgrades have made my mongoose 1000X more fun to ride. My original plan was to just slowly upgrade my mongoose as parts broke until I got to the point where all I had left to do was upgrade the frame. However, with how cheap it is to just get a complete bike, I think I'll just save up and get the Komodo 1.0...........n+1 strikes again........
EDIT: I am still keeping my eye out on the Trek Fuel that I originally posted though, I still might end up getting it if it stays at its current price, and if that happens, I obviously won't be getting the Komodo...... immediately lol I will still want a hard tail in the future.
