problem is insurance. USPS, when paying attention, is supposed to require that the declared value for insurance purposes match the declared value on the customs form. if you're willing to chance no insurance, and the shipper is willing to underestimate the value on the customs form, you'll likely be OK. unless of course there is shipping damage/loss.
yeah, not worth the risk for sure.
