Hmm. I'm still not going to measure. Or ever take my chain off to clean it. I'm going to keep buying Sram 1051 chains (because for some reason they are cheaper than 1031 on eBay) for $30 or less delivered. I wipe them and add some lube about every 2 weeks or 250 miles and replace them when they skip which is about year on my main bike.

I can't imagine that people have so much more time to waste fartin' around over a chain. I know I don't.
