Who's going to Critical Mass tonight...?
Politics aside, it's fun to do a social ride with lots of other cyclists, especially different types of cyclists. There are tall bikes, BMXs, fixies, hard core commuters, and a handful of racers, all with different ideas about cycling and different approaches to our hobby/pastime/sport/whatever you'd like to call it. In the summer there are a lot of people with beer in their cages and chips on their shoulders, but as the nights get longer, the group tends to thin out a little and calm down ... so tonight should be a pretty relaxed ride.
It's a no drop ride, which means pretty slow, and at least in Seattle, routes are chosen (on the spot) for their scenery, until the ride ends at a nice park somewhere and turns into a big social gathering.
Who does this ride regularly, and who's going to check it out and see what it's about?
