The magic is always there. I get about four months of morning light to commute in. The afternoon ride is light if not on a long shift. I use a double LED light with two levels and strobe. I have a Dynamo light for close up. The rear LED has about thirty small amber LEDs. It is home made and only strobes. Quite bright. The seatpost has an LD1000 with two rows of LEDs on strobe. Two AAAs run it. All my lights are on rechargeables. Some say I bling them to death but that means they can see me. Some think I'm the police. A local police captain said he prefers that to using a paint scraper to get me off the road. I love the dark and sometimes I ride away from work but eventually get there. The peace and the night time critters are cool. Deer, possums, coyote, skunks, and a rat once are the things I see. Sometimes the stars are magnificent and sometimes the odd thunderstorm in the distance or the sunrise.
