Just something to add: I have frequently run my Ixon IQ headlight during the day. No flash mode, but it does seem to get noticed. I find this works early early in the AM, when there is lots of tree shadow, or Building shadow. Motorists coming out of cross streets definitely see it, as do some (Not all) pedestrians.
