from the front and rear they probably provide hardly any light for cars to see and it's way too low to the ground.
the light that is created just shines on the ground (as opposed to into the drivers eyes) and will get lost with shadows of street lamps
plus if craftsmanship is on par with all the other ****ty lights out there, they'll short out in less than a year of regular riding (not to mention the forces acting on the lights will be on the rim which are much more jarring than a light clipped onto your backpack or seatpost).
it's just another ****ty gimmick
