You had a Roubaix before IIRC, that's kind of why I was asking what was drawing you to the Defy? I wasn't trying to push the Cervelo but letting you know where I ended up. I actually couldn't find an Advanced 1 in my size when I was looking so that kind of knocked it out early in my shopping, also considered the Roubaix and CR1. Having had my RS for a year and a half now I can say I haven't had any issues, plus there is a lifetime warranty on it. If it were me in your situation I would probably lean toward the 12 1 over the 11 3 if money wasn't a issue. Good luck!
Yes I had the Comp level bike in 2006 which was their 6r carbon at that time.
I sold it because I was gifted my Eddy Merckx and honestly when I stood up if felt like the power I was putting out was just going nowhere. The new SL3 is MUCH different than that bike in terms of drivetrain stiffness and it is VERY close between the Roubaix and the Defy.
