If I were you, I wouldn't overlook the road bikes. They're swift and agile. Their dropbars offer you more selections in riding postures. They can be extremely aerodynamic when riding in a more aggressive riding position, or you can sit up erect and ride them as a comfort bike. You have by far more choices in a road bike than a hybrid bike, provided than you're riding almost exclusively on paved surfaces. Yep, currently in the North West. down the A59 into Preston city centre. (It comes out to be around 6 miles)
