Bikes: It's the motor, not the bike, right?

Seat with bow- how do you know it is level?

Seat on my commuter:

I've been having a lot of discomfort in my nether regions and trying to get my seat right on my new commuter. I took of the stock seat because it was causing me issues. As you can see on my replacement seat, it is bowed and so how to I know if it is flat? If the portion my sit bones touch is flat, the nose is up too much. I'm thinking I might have some pulled muscles and getting referred pain in my testes, but it hasn't gone away with the new seat- I feel there is still too much pressure on my perineum. Right before I took this picture I adjusted the nose of the seat down slightly, we'll see how it goes on my ride home today.

What do you all think?
