Ah, cool, frame brothers... The fork is stamped "Jian Sheng" on the steerer. Did yours come with a similar fork? Do you have any photos? Where was it purchased?

27 seatpost is a good sign for some kind of quality tubing, but could be one of several brands...vague notion that it might be Japanese, but really...

Thanks all for the help, a Japanese frame would be most desirable, and I received similar information in the FGSS boards. I guess I should just call it a "mystery Japanese frame" from now on
