Mystery frame identifiction

I recently purchased a blank, hollow lugged, track frame with the word "champion" stamped on the BB. The only thing i found online is this photo (https://thefoxisblack.com/blogimages//garciasons_08.jpeg) which appears to have the same hollow lugs. Can anyone help me identify it?

The lugs (those have "windows" or cutouts, not "hollows") shown on the Bertin are not exactly the same as the mystery bike, notice the lower points.
That style of window lug is very common and several brands have similar piercings. Other details might tell more: What BB size/threading, what track ends and forkends, bridges, what size seat post, any rifling in the steerer? Let's see the BB stamping, too.

The BB size is English, and the seat post size is 27.0, I can post a picture of the track/fork ends. I am ignorant as far as bridge and steerer rifling go. What are they? And how do I check for them on my frame? And thank you for all of the useful information unworthy1.

Fork end (unsure of originality to frame)(Track ends)

Below is the BB and Steerer... Although unclear, I know the BB says "champion".

Can't ID this one, but the pics and other info is useful (to somebody). The fork may be a later addition, it has the "lawyer nubs" on the ends that date it and, probably make it not a match to the frame. So, looking for "rifling" this is 5 (or 6) small reinforcements in the base of the steerer, look up the fork bottom with a flashlight...is probably moot. Also 5 would be an indication of a Columbus fork, which this almost certainly ain't. But there might be something stamped on the outside of the steerer (if you remove the fork).
27 seatpost is a good sign for some kind of quality tubing, but could be one of several brands...vague notion that it might be Japanese, but really...
I got nuthin' for this one.

"Champion" was a line of Tange (Japanese) tubing; though there are champions everywhere in the world of cycling, that's the only frame material one I know of.

true^, but if Tange ever made BB shells this is news to me. Which doesn't mean too much
I think aeroBLOKE needs to compare notes with keepitearl and see what a second example comparison reveals...

Here's the one on a track bike I have. They're super rare. My framebuilder buddy has only seen one other in his life and it was unbrazed and NOS sitting on the shelf.

I live and learn...but that's not necessarily a "Champion" BB shell. Still, could be a relationship there, and what brand track bike is it?

Mine is not a brand per se. It's a custom build by Stephen Bishop, Mike Melton's lead mechanic.

How it looked when I got it.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

"Champion" was also a line of lugs, fork crowns, and bottom bracket shells produced by Tange. The fork on the OP's bike is almost certainly a replacement.

I suspect the frame is an old Keirin frame that found its way over here.

Ah, cool, frame brothers... The fork is stamped "Jian Sheng" on the steerer. Did yours come with a similar fork? Do you have any photos? Where was it purchased?

Thanks all for the help, a Japanese frame would be most desirable, and I received similar information in the FGSS boards. I guess I should just call it a "mystery Japanese frame" from now on

no mine has a double crown track fork. I will get photos up for you soon as I haven't taken any. Mine was purchased from a local Australian guy who thought it may have been made in Western Australia. Do you have wrap over seat stays? and can you see any numbers stamped on your bb?

I certainly does not have wrap over seat stays, and there are no numbers stamped on the BB, only the word "Champion".

well my numbers were pretty hard to see, maybe the paint covered the numbers.

I stripped my frame and it has shimano sfp 10 dropouts on the rear.
