Regarding the seat - I have an '04 Allez Elite. Slightly diferent seat. Pretty comfy. My thought is when you buy a $1,000 bike you don't sweat a few grams here and there. I didn't spend the $$$ to get the lighter (but otherwise the same) pedals or bottle cages, etc. I figure that I'll save a few bucks and if I want to be lighter I'll lose 2 or 3 lbs on my body rather than spend a lot of money to shave a pound off my bike. Are you to the point where you can't lose a few pounds off your body like a lot of the pro bikers?
