The nervar is a pretty crank. It might be trade bait someday. As I was cleaning it the quality of the casting and finish struck me.
I really like biopace. Or rather, it does not bother me. I have the exact same crank on my team fuji that I use for group centurys and event rides. Coupled with a 32-11 cassette it works great on the rolling hills. I "never" use the 24 ring, but when I do use the 24 ring at mile 75, it lets a big fat guy spin madly up a mountain past uber fit triathaletes. Not all of them, but enough that if i promise myself a donut for each one I pass, then I get to eat several donuts. I know it looks funny, but it fits my riding style pretty well.
The middle crank is a Super Custom off of my Gran Turismo, that had possibly forty miles on it when I bought it. If I use that one, its going to get blueline derailers with some NOS suntour bar ends I have. Probably the best bet. But I also have about twelve other cranksets to polish and look at.
