Bikes: Trek 7.1 FX

Trek 7.1 review and comments.

So I received my Trek 7.1 last night about this time. So I've had it a little over 24 hours and this is my first impression review.

I rode it 31 miles today.

I do 100% road riding with it, but the road around here has alot of loose gravel due to coal trucks, alot of potholes, and alot of uneven and sometimes broken pavement. Also very hilly and mountainous For this reason I may should have went with 7.2 with its suspension and puncture resistant tires.

That said...

The 7.1 fx (so far) is awesome. Loved the ride overall. The gears are geared fairly high which is plus in my book. Smooth shifting. No problems there.
Really the only thing that I haven't dug about the bike itself is the seat. I was pretty uncomfortable on the last half of the 31 mile trip but no lasting soreness. Also my wrists began aching near the end of the trip but I'm hoping that bar ends will fix that and I don't see that as a fault of the bike itself.

I'm very happy with my purchase and would gladly do so again.

Equipped a bontrager rack, nashbar paniers that I got for $15.00, a frame bag, and handlebar bag, waterbottle and holder.
