Campagnolo veloce, lighter than expected!

Finally got my 2012 campy veloce group in from ribble, paid $505 shipped which I think is pretty cheap. Less than the vintage parts I sold off of the bike to pay for it! I digress...

At first I was lamenting the new power torque crankset because on the surface it seems like a bad design, but I guess using a gear puller isn't that hard. What are you getting for the inconvenience? Apparently it saves some weight. I was fully expecting this stuff to be way heavier than it is, but it's really not bad for campy's cheap group:

Cranks = 757g
BB= 69g
Shifters = 371g
Brakes = 326g
RD = 227
FD w/clamp = 113g
Cassette = 296g

Weight looks pretty comparable to ultegra for a fraction of the price. Same amount of speeds too. Makes it pretty hard to justify buying shimano when campy's cheapest group is as light or almost as light as ultegra...

Unfortunately I can't say how it performs for quite a while, snow is coming and I need to build a set of wheels.
